Check the event and process
Alberta’s government announces January 1, 2027 as the Care-First start date. As of this September 30, 2026 review, it is a future change. Do not treat a future benefits description as the answer for an earlier collision. Check the applicable transition rules with the insurer or a licensed professional.
Use the right question
For an auto event, ask which system and policy apply. For a non-auto event, the auto-insurance page does not establish the route. The worksheet can organise costs in either situation, but it does not select entitlements, caps or compensation.
